Old Glory re-sign scrumhalf Sean Hartig

Old Glory DC have announced the re-signing of Sean Hartig for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old scrumhalf has been with the club since their inception, playing all four matches during the 2019 exhibition series including starts against Scotland u20 and the USA South Panthers.

Hartig was stuck behind Danny Tusitala and Michael Reid in the DC pecking order for the No9 shirt in 2020. He started the preseason game against Navy but did not make a regular season appearance before the campaign was suspended and will look to make his MLR debut in 2021.

Tusitala is currently playing for Auckland in the Mitre 10 Cup but is expected to return to Old Glory next season. Reid’s fate is currently unknown, while the club have verbally agreed to sign University of Mary Washington star Harry Masters.
