NOLA Gold extension for JP Eloff

JP Eloff has signed a one-year extension with the NOLA Gold. Already under contract for 2021, the new deal sees him committed to the club through the 2022 Major League Rugby season.

Injury delayed the start of the 2020 campaign for Eloff. He recovered in time to start the last two games of the shortened season against San Diego and New England. While limited to only two points this year he remains NOLA’s all-time leading scorer with 208 in 23 starts across his three MLR campaigns.

Eloff, now 29, has been largely used as a fullback by NOLA recently but has also appeared at flyhalf and center. He has reportedly bulked up to 90kg (200lbs) during the pandemic-enforced break. After three years in the international wilderness Eloff will be keen to add to his 10 Eagles caps in 2021.
