Kyle Ciquera re-signs for New England Free Jacks

Kyle Ciquera has re-signed with the New England Free Jacks through the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old prop from Connecticut will enter his third season with the team, joining ahead of the inaugural 2019 exhibition campaign.

Able to pack down on either side of the scrum, Ciquera is now focused on loosehead and made three replacement appearances during the shortened 2020 season. He was initially part of the extended playing group but was called up to the senior squad when Tony Purpura was ruled out with injury.

Ciquera has become something of a cult figure at the Free Jacks due to his infectious personality and signature hairstyle. Nicknamed ‘The Eagle’, his likeness appears on a popular Free Jacks shirt – in fact Ciquera might be the only player in MLR with his own line of dedicated supporters gear.
