Peru name Emilio Amadeo as new head coach

The Federación Peruana de Rugby has named Emilio Amadeo as the new head coach of the men’s test team. The Argentine will have a role that sees him overseeing multiple representative sides including juniors and sevens.

Amadeo will also be involved in preparing local coaches nationwide. The native of Salta will take-on his role in coordination with Sudamérica Rugby. Both the national and regional governing bodies are looking to Amadeo to establish a juniors representative team.

The demands of the position require great expertise and experience; Amadeo has plenty of both. In prior roles he has been heavily involved with Sevens, men’s and women’s rugby. Moreover, Amadeo has worked for the Salta High Performance Center.
