San Diego re-signs star winger Save Totovosau

The San Diego Legion have re-signed dynamic winger Save Totovosau for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. He enters his third season with the team, having proven one of the most prolific finishers in the league with 8 tries scored in 14 games.

Totovosau arrived from Australia ahead of the 2019 season and played well but had limited starting opportunities. The 6’2″ (1.89m) specimen was handed the No14 shirt for the season opener against Seattle in 2021 and started all five matches on the right wing, scoring two tries.

Originally from Fiji, Totovosau could conceivably qualify for the USA on three-year residency in December 2021 following World Rugby’s decision to delay the implementation of the new five-year residency requirement to January 1, 2022.
