Old Glory re-signs hooker Mo Katz

Old Glory DC have re-signed hooker Timothy ‘Mo’ Katz for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The Virginia native was the fourth player signed after the club’s founding in 2019, joining from NOVA Rugby. He toured Australia with the Collegiate All-Americans in 2016 while playing for James Madison University.

An injury suffered by Katz during exhibition play delayed his availability for the 2020 season. He recovered in time for Week 5 but was an unused replacement against Rugby ATL and with the season suspended the following week will have to wait until 2021 to make his MLR regular season debut.

The 26-year-old was one of five players capable of playing hooker on DC’s roster this year. Jack Iscaro has re-signed but is now focusing on playing prop, leaving Dante Lopresti, Max Lum, and USA international Mike Sosene-Feagai as those yet to be confirmed for 2021.
