AJ MacGinty steers Sale Sharks to victory over Wasps

USA fly half AJ MacGinty steered the Sale Sharks to victory over the Wasps. Played on Tuesday in Coventry, the northern English Premiership side were 20-11 winners. MacGinty was the leading point scorer of the contest, landing 15 points.

The match was MacGinty’s first start since rugby resumed. Tuesday’s match was a 16th round fixture of the 2019-2020 season. In winning the match the Sale Sharks mov above the Wasps to now occupy third position in the English Premiership.

The Sale Sharks will play again on Saturday. Their round 17 match will be a home game against the Bristol Bears. Bristol also played on Tuesday, falling to a 25-22 home loss against the league leaders, the Exeter Chiefs.
