Dallas Jackals sign Scottish hooker James Malcolm

The Dallas Jackals have announced the signing of Scottish age-grade international James Malcolm for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. Arriving from London Scottish in the RFU Championship, the 25-year-old represented Scotland at both the 2013 and 2014 World Rugby u20 Championships.

Malcolm joined the Glasgow Warriors in 2014 and made his competitive debut for the club the following year. He was called into the senior Scotland training squad during the 2018 Six Nations Championship. Despite the recognition, competition for spots at Glasgow saw Malcolm joining Championship side Doncaster Knights in the off-season.

This past season saw Malcolm start 17 games for Scottish. With much of the Championship now turning semi-professional, however, he has opted for a change of scenery. Malcolm will complement previous signing Chad Gough giving Dallas a strong tandem at hooker to build around.
