Julián Izaguirre signs for Spanish side Bathco

Julián Izaguirre has signed for Spanish side Bathco. The Argentine halfback joins the team ahead of the upcoming División de Honor season. The 21-year-old joins from Club Atlético Estudiantes de Paraná in Entre Ríos. The same club produced Puma Javier Ortega Desio.

Izaguirre made his senior debut for Club Atlético Estudiantes de Paraná in 2018. He did so as a 19-year-old. He won the Entre Ríos provincial championship with the club and he was also a winner in a regional competition in Tucumán in 2018.

Prior to playing at the adult level for the club he progressed through the Argentine junior system. He is known for his kicking and his overall reading of the game.

The move to Bathco sees the club continuing to invest in Argentine fly halves. Both Matías Frutos and Juan Diego Zabalegui featured for Bathco in the 2019-2020 season.
