London Irish confirm Agustín Creevy signing

London Irish have confirmed the signing of long-time Pumas hooker Agustín Creevy. As expected, the 35-year-old joins the club with immediate effect as Los Jaguares continue to reside in limbo following the effective dissolution of Super Rugby due in part to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This will be Creevy’s second stint in the English Premiership. He signed for Worcester Warriors in 2013, following the club down to the RFU Championship in 2014 after they were relegated. Creevy had previously spent two seasons with Biarritz in the French Top 14, when still a flanker, and two with Montpellier beginning in 2011.

Los Jaguares have seen many of their best players depart in recent weeks. Forwards Guido Petti, Matías Alemanno, and Marcos Kremer have left for Europe as have backs Jerónimo de la Fuente, Matías Orlando, and Matías Moroni. First choice hooker Julián Montoya is set to join Leicester.
