Rugby ATL re-signs Maciu Koroi for 2021 season

Rugby ATL have re-signed back row forward Maciu Koroi on a one-year deal through the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old has yet to make his professional debut after making one match day appearance in 2020 as an unused replacement against NOLA.

Originally from Fiji, Koroi represented the USA at u20 level before earning 1st Team Collegiate All-American honors while playing for the national champion Life Running Eagles. He is also an accomplished sevens player, traveling with the USA Falcons to South America in 2019.

One of a number of loose forwards on the ATL roster in 2020, Koroi was competing against Vili Helu, Jason Damm, and Tongan addition Bill Fukofuka among others for playing time. He is the 8th contract extension announced by the team in recent weeks.
