Ross Neal joins London Irish, returning to Seattle in 2021

Seattle Seawolves fans have received some good news via London Irish. Ross Neal has signed a short-term deal with the English Premiership club that will see him available through the end of restarted 2019-2020 schedule. The club have also confirmed that Neal will return to the Seawolves in time for the 2021 Major League Rugby season.

Neal, 24, was a high profile signing for Seattle, arriving from Wasps ahead of the 2020 season. The 6’5″ (1.96m) outside center made an immediate impression, scoring a try on debut in the preseason match against the Crimson Tide and two more against the visiting Tasman Mako.

Unfortunately a broken thumb suffered in the first half of the regular season opener against San Diego knocked Neal out of the remaining four matches. He will now hope to pick up some valuable game time with the Exiles before getting a second shot at MLR in 2021.
