San Diego confirms Dean Muir for 2021

The San Diego Legion have confirmed their first returning player for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. South African hooker Dean Muir will enter his third season with the team. This will be the second year of his contract signed in July of last year.

Muir, 31, has been a regular feature in the Legion pack since joining ahead of the 2019 campaign. He played a key role in helping San Diego to an MLR Shield Final appearance that season and started four of five matches in 2020 while scoring three tries.

Previously confirmed by the Legion are the additions of former England captain Chris Robshaw and draft picks Patrick Madden and Cole Zarcone. Sharing the Head Coach duties for the upcoming season will be Scott Murray and Zack Test, promoted following the departure of Rob Hoadley.
