Four more commit to third season with Toronto Arrows

Four more returning players have signed on for a third season with the Toronto Arrows. Andrew Quattrin, Andrew Ferguson, Lucas Rumball, and Shawn Windsor have committed to the 2021 Major League Rugby season alongside Argentine arrival Manuel Montero.

Quattrin has established himself as one of the top hookers in the league since making the jump to professionalism in 2019. Approaching his 24th birthday he now has 20 MLR appearances on his resume and five test caps. The Holland Landing native attended his first Rugby World Cup last year.

Also participating in Japan was 25-year-old Rumball. Vice-captain of the Arrows in 2020, the flanker is the favorite to step up into the lead role following the retirement of Dan Moor. A knee injury disrupted Rumball’s 2019 campaign but he appeared in all five games during the shortened 2020 season.

Ferguson only narrowly missed out on World Cup selection despite his fine form with the Arrows over the past two seasons. Sharing time at scrumhalf with fellow international Jamie Mackenzie, the 28-year-old has started 16 of 21 MLR appearances and scored 34 points.

Despite not making an appearance in the 2020 campaign, Windsor remains a valuable member of the Arrows roster. The 33-year-old covers flyhalf and fullback and acts as a mentor for Canada prospect Will Kelly. Windsor was recently appointed Head Coach of Brock University’s men’s side.
