Rugby United New York re-signs Connor Wallace-Sims

Rugby United New York have re-signed winger Connor Wallace-Sims for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old has been part of the team since their inception and follows the recent contract extensions of fellow backs Harry Bennett and Troy Lockyear.

Wallace-Sims was an integral part of the side during their inaugural 2019 campaign. He started 15 of RUNY’s 17 games on the left wing and scored 8 tries, a team mark bettered only by Dylan Fawsitt. In 2020 Wallace-Sims wore the No11 shirt in all five matches before the season was suspended.

Originally from Plymouth, England, Wallace-Sims is US-qualified and represented the Eagles on the World Sevens Series in 2017. He could have tough competition for a starting spot in 2021 with newcomers Apenisa Cakaubalavu and Fa’asiu Fuatai both primarily wingers.
