Ciencias Rugby Sevilla sign Franco López

Player recruitment for the upcoming season continues. Spanish side Ciencias Rugby Sevilla have added further to their Argentine contingent by signing Franco López. He joins from Division de Honor rivals Bathco.

The 24-year-old usually plays flanker but he has previously demonstrated an ability to slot in to the second-row. His general play is not for his tackling and ball-carrying abilities. He stands 1,86m and weighs 100kg.

López comes from the northern Argentine province of Formosa, specifically from the city with the same name. It is a border town with Paraguay and his club, Aguara Rugby Hockey Club is situated 5km from the Paraguay river.

In the past month Ciencias Rugby Sevilla have signed four other Argentine players. Guido Albertario joins the club from VRAC Quesos Entrepinares; Juan Ignacio Pérez joins from Bathco; Facundo Pomponio joins from SLAR side the Olímpia Lions; and Rafael Migale arrives at the Spanish club from Italy.
