Juan Pablo Socino returns to England with Saracens

Juan Pablo Socino will return to England for the coming RFU Championship season after signing a one-year deal with relegated Saracens. The former Pumas midfielder had spent the past season in the Spanish División de Honor with El Salvador.

Saracens are the fourth English club that the 32-year-old will have played for. He has previously lined up for Rotherham Titans and Nottingham in the Championship, and then spent four years in the Premiership with Newcastle Falcons. Socino turned out for Edinburgh during 2018-19 season before moving to Spain.

Originally from the Los Matreros club in Buenos Aires, Socino was an accomplished age-grade representative for Argentina but didn’t make his test debut until 2015. He played two matches at Rugby World Cup 2015. His younger brother Santiago was named in the Pumas squad for RWC 2019.
