Guido Volpi signs new 2-year deal with Ospreys

Guido Volpi has signed a new two-year deal with the Ospreys. The deal means that the 24-year-old returns to the Welsh region following his loan to England’s RFU Championship side the Doncaster Knights last season.

Volpi first joined the Ospreys in 2018. He did so after previously playing for Narbonne in France where he captained the academy side. His new deal with the Ospreys means that the back-rower will add to his seven appearances for the team.

He made his first appearance for the Ospreys in September 2018. He did so as a replacement against Munster in a Pro 14 match. He has also played in the European Champions Cup. He made his debut in the competition against Racing 92 in December 2019.

Volpi developed through Argentina’s PladAR system. This included him playing for his country at u20’s level at the Junior World Championship. He remains uncapped at the senior test match level.
