Ledesma calls-up 19-year-old Joaquín Oviedo to Pumas

Mario Ledesma’s 2020 training roster has grown from 59 to 60 players. The additional name is Joaquín Oviedo, a teenager who was playing u18s in 2019 for Argentina. The UAR notified Oviedo of his selection on his 19th birthday.

From Córdoba Athletic club, Oviedo is one of six Córdoba players on the 60-man roster. He joins professional players Matías Alemanno, Ignacio Calas, Santiago Carreras, Facundo Gigena and Juan Cruz Mallía.

Oviedo stands at 1.91m (6’3″) and weighs 113kg (250lbs). His powerful ball-carrying has stood out most in his career thus far.
