Dom Bailey back for Austin in 2021

Dom Bailey will make his rugby return for Austin in the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The soon-to-be 26-year-old openside flanker has signed a new contract with the Gilgronis, a name he has never represented having last played for the team under the Elite banner.

After joining from the Chicago Lions ahead of the 2019 season, Bailey made 13 appearances for Austin including 8 starts. A serious knee injury suffered post-season then ruled him out of the first half of the 2020 campaign which would come to a crashing halt due to COVID-19.

Austin have thus far confirmed a new coaching staff for 2021 in Sam Harris and Mark Gerrard, extensions for Mason Pedersen, Rodrick Waters, and Zinzan Elan-Puttick, and three new players – draft picks Mason Koch and Lui Sitama, and undrafted free agent Cam Dodson.
