Saracens have confirmed the signing of USA international Will Hooley. As revealed in April, the 26-year-old flyhalf or fullback leaves Bedford Blues to play for the defending European champions. While specific terms have not been revealed, it is believed to be a two-year deal.
Hooley represented his native England at u20 level before making his Eagles debut against Canada in February 2018. He played in his first Rugby World Cup this past fall, playing three of the USA’s four matches to bring his total to 15 test caps.
Despite winning both the Champions Cup and Premiership titles in 2019, Saracens were relegated to the RFU Championship after repeat violations of the salary cap. Several players have since left the club including Eagles prop Titi Lamositele, though hooker Kapeli Pifeleti remains contracted.
