Memorable Americas Tries – Juan Imhoff vs Wales 2012

Juan Imhoff started and finished a memorable try against Wales in 2012. The score saw the left winger passing from scrum-half and then providing support to receive a pass and dance around Leigh Halfpenny for the try.

Imhoff passed to Juan Manuel Leguizamón who stepped inside to take a tackle. While doing so, the flanker off-loaded to Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe who also off-loaded, finding Imhoff. The winger then accelerated past Sam Warburton and George North and was too quick for Halfpenny.

The 55th minute try was converted by Nicolás Sánchez. Head Coach Santiago Phelan moved Juan Martín Hernández to fullback for the match and Felipe Contepomi played inside center. Both Hernández and Contepomi were replaced early due to injuries. Argentina went on to win the match 26-12.
