USA Rugby moves home base to Glendale

USA Rugby has reached an agreement with the City of Glendale that will see Infinity Park become the ‘preferred host venue’ for both Men’s and Women’s Eagles tests. The national governing body offices will also be relocated from Lafayette to Glendale.

With USAR currently under severe financial strain leading to the governing body declaring Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March, the two parties have negotiated subsidized usage fees for Infinity Park. The partnership will give USA’s national XV-a-side programs year-round access to the rugby park to use for training camps and match preparations.

Glendale came under fire earlier this year after pulling the Colorado Raptors from Major League Rugby and then cutting funding for their women’s club sides. It remains to be seen if the men’s club sides will be affected by Glendale’s new focus on development.
