Javier Rojas to stay with Cornish Pirates until 2022

Javier Rojas will stay in England for at least two more seasons. Originally returning to the Cornish Pirates on a one year deal, the club have now confirmed the 29-year-old Argentine international is contracted through the end of the 2021-22 season.

The versatile playmaker spent most of his time at the flyhalf position this season, scoring 103 points in 13 games. Rojas had initially departed Cornwall at the end of the 2018-19 season, joining Atlético del Rosario before opting to re-sign with the club in August.

Where will two again be Argentines with the RFU Championship side next season. Inside center Nicolás de Battista has one year remaining on his current contract. Canadian internationals Brett Beukeboom and Matt Evans announced their retirements earlier this year.
