Ex-Hull FC coach Lee Radford joins Dallas Jackals

The Dallas Jackals have added rugby league expertise to their coaching staff in the form of Lee Radford. A former England international in the 13-man code, the 41-year-old joins after recently ending a seven-year stay as Head Coach of Super League side Hull FC.

Radford will be in charge of defense at the Major League Rugby expansion side. He forms an impressive trio with Head Coach Allen Clarke and assistant Elaine Vassie. It was Clarke who sounded him out, offering Radford the position having spent time observing him in action while Clarke was with Ospreys.

A 13-year career as a professional player saw Radford make well over 300 appearances in the top flight split between Hull and Bradford Bulls. He won seven caps for England and two Super League titles before making the transition to coaching in 2011.
