Romain Teulet Names Capó Ortega in Perfect Castres XV

Former Castres fullback, Romain Teulet has named his perfect Castres XV. Nicknamed Robocop, Teulet was a prolific goal kicker for Castres and the top point scorer in the Top 14 in the 2009-2010 season. He is also the all-time leading point scorer for Castres with 3102 points.

Teulet’s points came over a long career with the club. Robocop played for Castres from 2001-2014 and was a French champion in 2013, although he did not play in the Top 14 final. Involved was Rodrigo Capó Ortega. The Uruguayan won his first of two Top 14 titles with the club.

Robocop named Capó Ortega in his perfect Castres XV. He named him and Samoa’s Joe Tekori as the second-row combination. In doing so there were notable omissions such as Lionel Nallet and Pascal Papé.

In naming Capó Ortega in his perfect Castres XV, Robocop escaped him as “the beam.” He called him a monster and a Castres club monument, a man to whom the club owes so much to for both the 2013 and 2018 Top 14 titles as well as the difficult years. Also noted was his longevity to play for the club for 18 years at the highest level.

Teulet also gave an honorable mention to Mauricio Reggiardo. He noted that the Argentine prop was an important and essential player in the tough times that the club has experienced. Regards is now Castres’ Head Coach.
