France Seeking to Cancel July Tour to Argentina

France are seeking to cancel their July 2020 tour to Argentina. Les Bleus are scheduled to play two test matches against Los Pumas on July 04 and July 11. These matches are now in doubt due to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Reports out of France note that LNR (France’s professional leagues body) officials will request to the FFR (France’s rugby governing body) that the tour will be cancelled. The 2020 Top 14 Final is scheduled to be played on Saturday, June 26, although it remains to be seen if the season will have any further activity.

LNR President Paul Goze told Midi Olympique that under a best case scenario the Top 14 an Pro D2 seasons would resume at the end of April or the start of May. It is understood that this possibility is remote with late May being an alternative or the season being suspended altogether.
