Socino Suspended for Foul Play

Santiago Socino has been suspended for foul play. He was a replacement hooker for Los Jaguares against the Sharks this past Saturday. He was cited for stomping and found guilty. He will now be unavailable for the remaining matches in March. He can play again as of April 05.

His suspension is for three weeks, however with him being free to next play on April 05 it is, in fact for longer. Between now and then Los Jaguares will play host to the Highlanders in round 7; host the Stormers in round 8; have a bye in round 9; and at home against the Melbourne Rebels on April 04 in round 10.

Socino’s next possible Super Rugby match will be against the Brumbies in Canberra, Australia on Sunday, April 12. That match is to be the first of a four match tour to Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

On the completed tour to South Africa Socino had one start and was twice a replacement for Julián Montoya. Former captain Agustín Creevy missed the tour due to injury, but will be free to play this coming weekend against the Highlanders.
