Quinn Ngawati returns to Toronto Wolfpack

Canada u20 center Quinn Ngawati has left the Pacific Pride program in Victoria after signing with the Toronto Wolfpack. It will be the 20-year-old’s second stint with the professional rugby league club, first joining in 2017 before returning to rugby union in 2018.

An imposing figure at 6’4″ (1.94m) who also displays strong footballing skills, Ngawati is considered one of the most promising athletes in Canadian rugby. He started all four matches for Canada at the 2019 World Rugby u20 Trophy, playing both midfield positions and scoring two tries.

The 20-year-old confirmed to Americas Rugby News that he received offers from multiple Major League Rugby clubs but has opted for the Wolfpack for now. Ngawati will train with the Super League side at their UK home base in Manchester while playing on loan for the Rochdale Hornets who compete in the third division of the RFL.
