Final squads confirmed for Vancouver 7s

The World Sevens Series arrives in Vancouver this weekend, for the second event on the North American Leg of the circuit. As in Los Angeles, it’s a two-day format with men only meaning a full slate of knockout matches on Sunday.

Canada enter as the lowest-ranked of the three Americas teams in 10th place overall. They have made one change to their roster, with Andrew Coe a straight swap for David Richard.

Los Pumas are two spots ahead in 8th place. Luciano González Rizzoni drops out with injury. His squad place goes to forward Joaquín de la Vega. He jumps straight into the main group along with Tomás Vanni, whose alternate spot is this week occupied by Rodrigo Isgro.

The USA dropped to 7th overall despite their 5th place finish in LA. They have lost forwards Ben Pinkelman and Joe Schroeder to injury. Maceo Brown is promoted to the main squad, with Malon Al-Jiboori called up. Ben Broselle is named as the alternate.

Those in Canada can watch all games on the CBC Sports website, with NBC Sports Gold broadcasting in the USA. ESPN will air the tournament in Latin and South America.
