Peñarol played host to Selknam in the historic first ever Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR) match. The Wednesday night fixture took place at Uruguayan rugby headquarters, the Estadio Charrúa. A win from the homeside was expected, yet the Chilean side had a game plan that worked and Peñarol’s handling errors from the backs cost them opportunities.
