French Guyana compete in Sevens tournament in Brazil

French Guyana is to compete in a Rugby Sevens tournament in Brazil on Thursday. Taking place in Fortaleza, Ceará, the competition will be a one day event involving two local clubs and French Guyana.

The competitors are to be French Guyana (men’s and women’s); two teams from Asa Branca club; Sertões; and Ceará.

The competition is the first of its kind and a potential pathway to additional international competition between the neighboring South American countries.
