Jaguares without Matías Alemanno for Bulls

Los Jaguares are to be without Matías Alemanno for their match this coming weekend against the Bulls in Pretoria. The second-rower has been ruled out based on concussion protocol and Gonzalo Quesada is set to make adjustments both in the starting line-up and on the bench to cover for his absence.

Alemanno started against the Stormers this past Saturday. He formed the second-row together with Lucas Paulos, while Guido Petti was rotated to enter that match from the bench. Alemanno played for 63 minutes before being substituted.

For the Bulls, the line-up will be altered with Petti set to start again and Paulos likely dropping to the bench. Joining Petti in training today was Marcos Kremer. His move from flanker was not unexpected and follows decisions during prior Super Rugby campaigns.

With Kremer and Petti locking the scrum and Paulos covering from the bench, there are to be additional flanker options in use. In the training formation the back-row trio was Francisco Gorrissen, Tomás Lezana and Rodrigo Bruni.

Meanwhile, the likely non-avaiablilty of Tomás Cubelli sees Gonzalo Bertranou as the only fit scrum-half on the roster. Winger Sebastián Cancelliere is expected to start and also to cover scrum-half if required. This therefore indicates an extra forward among the replacements with rookers Sebastián Grondona and Bautista Pedemonte both inline to make their Super Rugby debuts.
