Sánchez full-time try sees Stade Français Home in a thriller

A try on full-time by Nicolás Sánchez saw Stade Français home in a thriller on Saturday. Playing on home soil in Paris, Stade Français were 21-20 winners over La Rochelle.

There were Argentine try scorers on both teams with Nicolás Sánchez (Stade Français) and Facundo Bosch (La Rochelle) both scoring sensational solo tries. Bosch crossed in a rampaging run from 24 meters out, beating three tacklers, including Sánchez.

Sánchez joined Pablo Matera in playing for the Parisians. Both men left their mark on the match, although it was Sánchez who will be remembered due to him scoring the match-winner. From a scrum ten meters out, Sánchez ran a reverse angle run to dart over for the deciding points of the contest.

The wins sees Stade Franglais rise out of the relegation zone. With 24 competition points, the Parisians are in 12th spot ahead of Pau and Agen.
