Scrum ace Lucas Abud and four others pen deals for Corinthians

The third batch of Corinthians Rugby players has been confirmed. Like batch one and batch two, batch three also contains five players, all of whom are players that are to be regulars for Brazil over the new RWC cycle.

Scrum ace Lucas Abud is among the latest recruits. The 27-year-old has been playing test rugby for Brazil since 2014 and is the fourth prop unveiled, following Caique Silva, Joel Ramirez and Leonel Moreno. The fifth prop is Matheus Rocha. The 23-year-old has three years of international competition under his belt with Os Tupis.

Also confirmed by Corinthians is hooker Endy Willian. The 25-year-old is another to have been busy playing for Brazil in recent years. He debuted in 2017 and was involved in Brazil’s side which faced Uruguay in a RWC 2019 send-off.

The two remaining names to have been unveiled in batch three are centers Felipe Sancery and Robert Tenório. Felipe is one of the Sancery twins. Both made their test debuts in 2015. In the case of Felipe Sancery, he has 35 caps thus far for Brazil. Robert Tenório has been a Tupis since 2016 and is aged 24.
