Daniel Lima Among the New Names at Corinthians

Following Thursday’s announcement of the first five players, an additional five names have now been added. Like the first five, the latest players are also all capped by Brazil. Of the new arrivals the three are backs and two are props.

Joining from Curitiba is Douglas Rauth. The 23-year-old scrum-half has three caps for Brazil, the first of which came in 2017. He is expected to feature predominantly in the coming years due to the aging players in the position, including the recent retirement of Dr. Lucas Duque.

Also a scrum half, Felipe Cunha is another of the new names unveiled by Corinthians Rugby. The 21-year-old is uncapped, although he did play in last November’s home international against the Barbarians in São Paulo.

Joining from Poli is Northern Brazil’s most famous rugby player, Daniel Lima. The 22-year-olf has six caps for Brazil and is known for his finishing abilities. He is expected to add many more caps to his current total of six.

The remaining two new names are both young props. They are 22-year-old Joel Ramirez and 23-year-old Leonel Moreno. The former made his test debut in 2019 while the later is uncapped, although, like Cunha, he also played in the match against the Barbarians.
