Glasgow Warriors sign former Puma Gastón Cortés

Scotland side the Glasgow Warriors have signed former Puma Gastón Cortés. The Tight Head prop moves north from the Leicester Tigers and changes competitions from the English Premiership to the Pro 14.

Cortés is accomplished at scrums and a solid player overall. He previously played over 100 games for Bristol Rugby between 2012 and 2018. He moved to England in 2012 to play for Bristol before moving to Leicester in 2018.

That same year he earned a test recall. He was the third European selected by Mario Ledesma, although he return to international duty was restricted to one test cap.

The 34-year-old has five caps for Argentina. They came against Chile and Uruguay in 2011 and 2012; an against New Zealand in 2018.
