Former Pumitas flanker Bautista Stavile joins Selknam

Another Argentine player has been revealed as joining Chile’s new Súper Liga franchise Selknam. Former Pumitas flanker Bautista Stavile follows countrymen Rodrigo Bruno, Patricio Baronio, and Ignacio Albornoz. He joins the team from his home club Mendoza RC.

Stavile graduated through the Argentine age-grade ranks and appeared in two consecutive World Rugby u20 Trophy tournaments. In 2016 he was a match day reserve and the following year started all four matches. The 22-year-old openside has also represented his province at sevens.

Selknam are yet to confirm any signatures beyond Chile back row Ignacio Silva. They join Corinthians in frustrating SLAR fans with no roster unveiling. Meanwhile Ceibos, Olimpia, and Peñarol are already well into their training camps will full teams in attendance.
