Rewind: Scotland vs Argentina – 2001

Scotland played host to Argentina as part of the 2001 November Internationals. The South Americans played two matches in the UK before hosting New Zealand in Buenos Aires. In game one of the series Los Pumas were 30-16 winners over Wales in Cardiff.

One week later Agustín Pichot’s side took on Scotland at Murrayfield. It was the second time Argentina had beaten the Scots in Edinburgh in three years. Los Pumas were 31-22 winners over a Gary Armstrong-led Scotland just prior to RWC 1999.
