Santiago González Iglesias set for Top League debut

Santiago González Iglesias is set to make his Japan Top League debut on Saturday. The 31-year-old signed for the Manukata Sanix Blues in December after departing Argentina and Los Jaguares.

Normally a flyhalf or inside center, González Iglesias has been named at fullback for the clash against the NTT Docomo Red Hurricanes. San Diego Legion standout Paddy Ryan is named at tighthead prop.

González Iglesias will become just the second Argentine to appear in the Top League. Former Pumas lock Tomás Vallejos made seven appearances for the Coca-Cola Red Sparks during the 2013-14 season.

This is now the third week of the Top League season that has seen record crowds following on the success of the World Cup. Both Sanix and NTT Docomo have one win and one loss thus far.
