Match Preview – Jaguares vs Georgia XV 2

The second exhibition match between the Jaguares and the Georgia XV will take place at San Isidro Club in Buenos Aires on Friday afternoon. Both teams will be looking for improvement and it’s the visitors who have the most ground to make up after the one-sided match in Mar del Plata.

One thing that did go well for the Georgians was the scrum. Only two changes are made to the pack, both in the back row. Koba Jimsheleishvili comes in on the flank with Giorgi Mchedlishvili named at No8. Dachi Kopadze and Vano Putkaradze drop to the bench.

There are three changes in the backs, the most notable at scrumhalf where Lelo veteran Vazha Khutsishvili makes way for Koba Bujiashvili. An interesting choice in the midfield is Sandro Mamamtavrishvili who starred as a flanker with the u20s, while Davit Modzgvrishvili is named at fullback.

It’s all change for Los Jaguares with a completely different starting XV to last week. Julián Montoya captains the side at hooker with debuts for Rodrigo Fernández Criado at lock and loose forward Santiago Montagner. Top No8 prospect Bautista Pedemonte is set for his first appearance off the bench with giant prop Joël Sclavi also among the reserves.

Gonzalo Bertranou and Tomás Albornoz form a new-look halfback combination with youngster Santiago Chocobares getting a look in the midfield. Mateo Carreras takes the place of brother Santiago on the wing as Ceibos call-up Lucas Mensa waits his turn as a replacement.

Kickoff is set for 4:45pm local time with a live broadcast available on ESPN.
