Jamaica names squad for Challenger Series

Jamaica head coach Steve Lewis has named a 13-man traveling squad for the upcoming World Rugby Challenger Series. The Crocs will be competing in a pool of 16 teams at the Viña del Mar and Punta del Este tournaments with a spot at the Hong Kong Sevens on the line for the top eight.

Conan Osborne captains the side that features side-stepper Oshane Edie and powerhouse forward Dyneal Fessel. More recent additions include former Toronto Wolfpack flyer Mason Caton-Brown and Rugby United New York three-quarter Mike St. Claire, both of whom made their international debuts in 2019.

Halfbacks Rhodri Adamson and Lucas Roy-Smith will play in one tournament each, Adamson in Chile and Roy-Smith in Uruguay. A pair of non-traveling reserves have also been named in Hong Kong veteran Omar Dixon and rugby league international Andrew Simpson.

Viña del Mar is the first stop of the Series that kicks off on February 15. The Crocs have been drawn in Pool B along with Hong Kong, Papua New Guinea, and Colombia.
