Women’s Eagles named for Hamilton Sevens

Chris Brown has made only minor alterations to his Women’s Eagles squad for this weekend’s Hamilton Sevens. The 2019-2020 Women’s World Series hits the midpoint with the USA currently in third place overall after three stops including a Cup Final win at Glendale in October.

Stephanie Rovetti is recalled directly to the main squad in place of Kasey McCravey. Kayla Canett is promoted from the alternate spot with Cheta Emba the 13th player this time. Traveling with the group will be Joanne Fa’avesi who has recovered from injury, though she is not on the roster for Hamilton.

Joining the Eagles in Pool B will be Australia, Russia, and Brazil. The two-day tournament begins on Saturday local time, Friday afternoon Eastern. All matches will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Gold.
