Petrowitsch joins Cóndores squad for Mar del Plata

Anton Petrowitsch will play for Chile at the Seven de Mar del Plata this weekend. The 25-year-old flanker hasn’t worn a Cóndores shirt since November 2018. He makes a welcome return from the UK after spending last season with the Rotherham Titans in National One.

The young Chilean side contains three others with 15-a-side caps. Flyhalf Benjamin Baraona, fullback Christian Huerta, and utility back Luca Strabucchi are part of the 11-man squad named by head coach and former Pumas cap Nicolás Bruzzone.

Mar del Plata will serve as a warm-up for the upcoming World Rugby Challenger Series. Chile will host the first tournament in Viña del Mar beginning on February 15. The Condores are one of two national sides competing in Argentina this weekend, the other being Uruguay.
