Uruguay have called on six players bound for Peñarol in the Súper Liga to strengthen their entry at the Seven de Mar del Plata this weekend. Los Teros will be competing against the top club sides in the region at the tournament in preparation for the World Rugby Challenger Series that begins next month.
Baltazar Amaya, Agustín Della Corte, Ignacio García, and José Iruleguy were all part of the side that finished second at the Seven de la República. Joining them are forward pair Manuel Ardao and Maxime Sonneveld, who take the place of Felipe Etcheverry and Martín Burgos in the side.
Chile is the only other national side competing in the tournament. Among the notable club entries at the annual event are SIC, Mendoza, and Atlético del Rosario. There are also two Paraguayan sides, the Libertadores de Luque and Universitario de Asunción.
