Old Glory names team to play Navy

Old Glory DC have confirmed their roster for Saturday evening’s game against Navy at The St. James in Springfield. Nine new signings are included in the starting lineup with 31 players named in all on an extended bench.

Max Lum runs out at hooker, a role he saw limited time at with Glendale in 2019. Jake Turnbull and Will Vakalahi are the bookends who are set to share time with four props named in the reserves. It’s an all-new lock combo of Tevita Naqali and Dylan Pieterse, with Mungo Mason debuting at openside flanker.

All-American recruit Mike Dabulas is given the start at flyhalf and he will have an all-Canadian midfield alongside in Ciaran Hearn and Doug Fraser. Former Raptors star Dylan Taikato-Simpson is named at fullback. New recruits Danny Tusitala, Jason Roberts, and Renata Roberts-Te Nana are on the bench.

Squad members absent from the roster include front row signings Tendai Mtawarira and Mike Sosene-Feagai, back rows Jack McLean and Jamason Fa’anana-Schultz, and winger Declan O’Donnell.
