Argentina’s second professional rugby team, Los Ceibos have secured new sponsorship. The team is to be sponsored by Canterbury, one of the leading producers of rugby apparel in the world.
The contract between Los Ceibos and Canterbury was signed today as Fernando Riccomi (Ceibos) and Fabián Luján (Canterbury) put the pen to the paper.
The arrangement sees new ground being broken in Argentina. Unlike, Los Pumas and Los Jaguares who are sponsored by Nike, Los Ceibos are sponsored by a rival of that company.
The SLAR is to begin in less than two months time. The match schedule for the competition is yet to be confirmed, although it is understood that the opening match will see the Olímpia Lions (Asunción, Paraguay) playing at home against Corinthians (São Paulo, Brazil) in Asunción.
