Jaguares have Injury Concerns Ahead of Facing Georgia XV

Los Jaguares have injury concerns ahead of the facing the Georgia XV. In the first of two Super Rugby pre-season matches against the Eastern Europeans, there are players being monitored.

Centers Matías Orlando and Juan Pablo Castro have not been involved in the preparations. The former will not face the Georgia XV but could be fit for the Super Rugby round one match against the Lions. The latter, meanwhile, is to undergo surgery an faces an additional month’s wait before being able to play.

Joining the center pairing on the sidelines is another center, Jerónimo de la Fuente. The captain of Los Jaguares will miss both games against the Georgia XV and will also not play against the Lions. He has been confirmed as out of action for three weeks.

Argentina’s starting hooker from RWC 2019, Julián Montoya is expected to sit out Friday’s match as a precaution. He will be fine for the second match against the Eastern Europeans.

New recruit, Joel Sclavi will not face the Georgia XV. The former French-based tight head prop has a minor injury that will see him unavailable for play for three weeks.
