Sánchez Stars as Stade Français Down Toulouse in ‘Classico’

In his best performance of the season, Nicolás Sánchez stared as Stade Français downed Toulouse in the classico in Paris. Both Sánchez and Pumas teammate, Pablo Matera started for the Parisians who were 30-18 winners.

Sánchez slotted his first drop goal of the season and also landed a penalty and a conversion. In addition to his eight points, Sánchez had a try assist in kicking through for Gael Fickou to chase and dot down in the left corner.

The result sees Stade Français improving their fortunes. It takes the club off the bottom of the standings to now be above Agen in occupying 13th position. Bayonne, Castres, and Pau are all just three points above Stade Français, meaning one more win could see Stade Français out of the relegation zone.
