Peñarol to play Home Games at Estadio Charrúa

The home venue for Peñarol is to be the Estadio Charrúa. The Uruguayan national rugby stadium and headquarters will be where the Uruguayan team play their home matches in the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR).

The Estadio Charrúa is where Uruguay play the vast majority of their home matches. Over the course of the past two RWC cycles, Los Teros played 37 of of their 46 home games at the Estadio Charrúa. These included the vital RWC qualifying wins over Hong Kong, and Russia in 2014 and over Canada in 2018.

The stadium is located in the national capital of Montevideo and is at a very friendly location in relation to the airport.
